The Garden
The area in front of the building stands out for its elegant tree-lined central avenue, framed by majestic monumental trees, three scenographic pools and gardenbeds arranged according to a rigorous geometric design.
The plant species are organized by families, following the systematic order of the Flora Europaea: alongside numerous native plants there are species of different origins, selected to illustrate the morphological characteristics and the incredible biodiversity present in the plant kingdom.
On the north side of the garden, along the pedestrian path and next to the rose garden, there is a collection of around fifty stone tubs dedicated to medicinal and dyeing plants, accompanied by panels describing their medicinal and food properties.
The itinerary is completed by the collections of aquatic plants, placed in pots near the entrance and representing adaptations to submerged or marshy environments, and that of local fruit trees (including figs, apple trees, rowan trees, pear trees and apricot trees) and tropical ones (including banana, mango, papaya...).
The garden also houses four greenhouses and a suggestive Alpine Garden.
