Throughout the year it is possible to make visits with specially trained guides upon communication and reservation, by writing an email to valeria.fossa@unito.it.
The Botanical Garden does not have its own car park, but there are public car parks nearby (Corso Massimo d'Azeglio, Corso Marconi, Torino Esposizioni).
Access to the Botanical Garden is through a driveway (green gate), near the ticket office. The Garden, the Greenhouse of South Africa, the Technical greenhouse and the Grove they are free of architectural barriers (part of the route runs on asphalt, part on grass, part on beaten dirt road).
The access to the greenhouse of succulent plants and to the multiplication greenhouse is only possible via guided tour.
The access at the greenhouse of tropical plants is not possible at the moment, we apologize for the inconvenience.
The toilets are also free of architectural barriers and are located to the right of the entrance, in front of the Alpine forest.
To safeguard the safety of visitors, in the event of particularly adverse weather or particular overcrowding the managers (Semi nel Vento APS) reserve the right to close the structure to the public.
There is a tactile path for the visually impaired and blind, created in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind, composed of 10 explanatory signs written in Braille and the Latin alphabet in relief, both available only in Italian language. Furthermore, the signs contain tactile tables useful for recognizing the species.
To complete the 2022 Public Engagement project "VICINI" (https://www.vicini-unito.it/) were made four videos regarding the Botanical Garden and its greenhouses in LIS, with narrative voice and subtitling, by Enrico Dolza, director of the Deaf Institute of Turin, and by the LIS interpreter Nicola Della Maggiora, in collaboration with Laura Guglielmone, curator of the University Herbarium, and with the Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences.
